Tabla Tutor is an online initiative to teach and promote Indian Classical Music worldwide. We are providing music lessons with different subjects like - Tabla, Indian Classical Music, Sarangi, Dilruba, Bhajan, Ghazal & Gurbani Keertan. Anybody of age 7-70 years can join us on a joyride to the world of Indian Classical Music. You can join a tabla tutor faculty member to master your musical skills and be a performer.

Tabla Tutor - Syllabus

Basic Level

Sem-1:
You will start with a short intro of your instrument, followed by Basic Tabla Bols, and Basic Exercises to understand the structural and rhythmic aspects of tabla. Ta Tin Tin Ta/

for an easy approach to the compositional structure of Kayda and its components, 2 Intermediate Kaydas (Delhi Gharana), 2 Intermediate Kaydas (Punjab Gharana), Rela (Basic), Advanced Rela (Punjab Gharana), 5 Tukdas (Delhi/Punjab)

Sem 2:
Theka composition and detailed Info of Roopak, Jhap Taal, Dadra, Kehrwa, Ektaal, A Short Solo in Rupak (Based on Sem-1), Intro with Kehrwa and Dadra
Taal Thekas and Some Laggis with Tihai.

Intermediate Level

Sem-1:
Teen Taal Intermediate Solo including (Peshkar, Delhi Kayda (2) - Punjab Kayda (1) - Rela (Delhi) - 5 Tukras (Delhi, Punjab, Banaras, Lucknow) - Chakrdar - Farmaishi Chakardar - KamaliChakardar - Gat (Delhi Gharana)

Sem 2:
In this part of the syllabus, you will learn a Solo in Roopak (Peshkar, Delhi Kayda (2), Rela - 5 Tukras (Delhi, Punjab, Banaras, Lucknow), Chakrdar, Farmaishi Chakardar, Kamali Chakardar, Gat (Delhi Gharana)

Sem 3:
This is a very important part as you will learn Solo in Jhaptaal and Ektaal (Based on Sem:1), along with a very fine collection of laggis, their improvisations, and adding effects to your performance in Kehrwa & Dadra uthans, Laggis and tihais.

Advanced Level

Sem-1:
This part includes Advanced Solo in Teen Taal, Jhap Taal, Ek Taal, Mat Taal, Char Taal Ki Sawari, and Pancham Sawari

Sem-2:
In this section, we will teach you to accompany, improvisation, and add special effects in your performance in Kehrwa, Dadra,
Roopak, Deepchandi, and Light Music accompaniment techniques and syllabus

Sem 3:
This will be your last barrier which includes rare Gharanedar Compositions of Delhi, Punjab, and Lucknow including Gats, Kaydas, Tukras, Kayda, Relas, and more.
